Nose Job to Straighten a Crooked Nose

Straightening a crooked or deviated nose can be one of the more challenging rhinoplasty maneuvers. This often is due to the fact that the nasal cartilage has memory and tends to want to return to its original position. The rhinoplasty approach I utilize focuses on rebuilding the nose in a more symmetric, straight manner.

How to make the nose look less big

At the same time a common concern of my patients is to make their nose look less big. Certainly the tip and bridge can be brought in to make the nose smaller as one aspect of this. It is important to analyze the chin projection of a patient to see if an under-projected chin is giving the appearance of a larger nose than is actually there. In many cases, chin augmentation through either a chin implant or sliding genioplasty approach can greatly improve facial balance.

My latest video outlines these concepts well. I review photos of a patient of mine that we performed a combined rhinoplasty and sliding genioplasty (chin augmentation).
