Before and After Skin Only Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty
This Seattle blepharoplasty patient was referred to Thomas Lamperti, MD by her eye doctor to see what could be done to correct her progressively worsening upper eyelid visual blockage related to her drooping upper eyelid skin. She had noted a gradual worsening of her symptoms over time and was increasingly bothered by the excess, overhanging skin that was extending onto her eyelashes. After reviewing her visual field tests and examining the patient's eyelids, Dr. Lamperti recommended an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to remove the excess upper eyelid skin. This was most notable laterally where left worse than right hooding was evident. In the 3 month after photos you can see how the patient has much improved upper eyelid show and a much more awake and alert appearance an can even wear upper eyelid makeup again. Most importantly, her vision is much improved. The oblique views best show the improvement in the patient's lateral hooding.
