Combined Upper Lid Tuck (Blepharoplasty) And Ptosis Repair
This woman consulted with Thomas Lamperti, MD to see what her options were with regard to her droopy upper eyelids. Dr. Lamperti noted that the patient had significant upper eyelid ptosis where her eyelid margins were very low down on her eyes which blocked a portion of her visual fields. With manual correction of the lid position Dr. Lamperti also noted that the patient had excess upper eyelid skin as well. A combined treatment approach was used where the excess eyelid skin was trimmed and through the same incision the underlying stretched upper eyelid muscle was tightened using sutures. This tightening allowed Dr. Lamperti to raise the patient's lid position. In the 4 month after photos you can see how the patient now has significantly improved upper eyelid position with excellent symmetry.
